Mission statement:
The mission of Instructional Technology Services is to lead school district efforts to effectively integrate technology into the instructional program. Staff coordinate planning, implementation, and evaluation of the district’s Technology Blueprint.
Program description:
• Oversee and facilitate the implementation of the district’s Technology Blueprint.
• Train teachers, librarians, instructional support staff and students in the use of technology in the educational process.
• Review and evaluate hardware, software, and related resources under consideration by the district.
• Provide districtwide professional development for the integration of technology into teaching and learning.
• Research and implement the use of new technologies to enhance instruction and learning.
• Manage and implement Title IID – Enhancing Education Through Technology grant.
• Respond to instructional technology inquiries and requests of parents, students, staff and public.
Coordinate the efforts of the integration of instructional technology teachers with the secondary library media specialists and elementary library media associates to promote information literacy skills.
Technology Blueprint Goals
Goal #1: Establish instructional technology standards for elementary, middle and high school classrooms to achieve one to one student access to technology, which may include computers, ineteractive whiteboards, clickers, document camereas multimedia projectors, etx. - Goal Leaders: Wayne Gerke, Roxa Hawkins and Ron Gherman
